「口語天天練」說不清道不明的“chip”，到底有幾個意思
1、potato chips 馬鈴薯片
eg: We ate a lot of potato chips and drank a lot of Coke.
我們吃了不少薯片、喝了許多可樂。
2、chip on his shoulder 色厲內荏，
eg: He is a man with a chip on his shoulder.
他是個好尋釁吵架的人。
3、chip in 插嘴; 插話;共同出錢; 捐助
eg: They chip in for food.
他們湊錢買食物。
'That's true,' chipped in Smith.
“那是真的，”史密斯插嘴道。
4、a chip of the old block 相貌[脾氣]和父母一樣的孩子（多指男孩）;子肖其父
eg: That's exactly what your dad said! You're a real chip of the old block!
這句話跟你爸爸說的一模一樣!你們真是一個模子印出來的!
5、chip card 晶片卡
eg: A smart card, chip card, or integrated circuit card ( ICC), is any pocket-sizedcard with embedded integrated circuits.
積體電路卡（IC卡），又稱智慧卡、晶片卡、微處理器卡，是內嵌積體電路的可以放在口袋裡的小卡片。
6、a chip in broth 可有可無的東西，無關緊要的東西
eg: To improve efficiency, we should prioritize all the stuff and put aside tasks that are a chip in broth.
為了提高效率，
7、let the chips fall where they may 不管後果
eg: They know how to seize the moment and let the chips fall where they may.
他們知道如何抓住時機，不計較結果。
8、when the chips are down 危急時;在危急關頭
eg: I'll always be here for you, even when the chips are down.
我永遠會在你身邊，危急時刻也一樣。
9、 in the chips 富有
eg: After he won the lottery, he was in the chips.
自從他中了彩票以後，變得非常富有。
